Biography:
Maria Isabel Burghardt was born in Colombia, South America in 1970. Ms. Burghardt relocated to Miami, FL in 1985 and has lived in Miami for the last 24 years.
Ms. Burghardt graduated from Nova Southeastern University with her Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Professional Management in 2005. She attended classes while working as a legal assistant at Friedman, Rodman & Frank, P.A. Following her life-long ambition, Ms. Burghardt attended Saint Thomas University School of Law receiving her Juris Doctor in 2008.
During her law school years, Ms. Burghardt interned at the State Attorney’s Office as intern to Division Chief of Felonies, Honorable Stacy Glick. She was also a certified legal intern for Legal Aid of Greater Miami in the Family Law department for two semesters. As president of Saint Thomas’ chapter of Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Ms. Burghardt had the opportunity to follow her passion of community service. Through her work with F.A.W.L. Ms. Burghardt had the opportunity to lead and inspire other members to perform charitable activities in our community with organizations such as Women in Distress, Becca’s Closet, and Casa Valentina.
Upon being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008, Ms. Burghardt joined the law firm of Friedman, Rodman & Frank, P.A. as an associate specializing in the area of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury law. Ms. Burghardt has been admitted to the Southern District of Florida.
